Anchor Rodes & More

Nothing is more important on a boat than having the proper anchoring system. We are the industry’s leader when it comes to the quality, strength and reliability of nylon anchor rodes. Our nylon is produced in the USA by the top manufacturers like New England Ropes and Buccaneer Rope Company and our chain is the highest quality galvanized high test chain produced by the Peerless Industrial Group. Our anchor rodes are specifically designed to work with windlass manufacturers like LEWMAR and MAXWELL and many other brands as well. However, you do not have to have a windlass to use our anchor rodes. Our anchor rodes are used for many of the OEM boat manufacturers including Sea Ray, Regal and many others.

We manufacture (2) different types of anchor rodes:

3 Strand Nylon

Traditional 3 strand nylon is an excellent economical choice when choosing an anchor rode. Our 3 strand rodes come in a variety of pre- manufactured lengths and we offer a build your own custom rode option as well. We manufacture in different rope diameters including 3/8", 1/2" & 5/8" and they are hand spliced to either 1/4" or 5/16" chain depending on your requirements. All of our rodes have high test galvanized chain hand spliced to them to operate smoothly in a windlass. If you do not need chain, we can provide a thimble spliced on the end instead.

8 Plait Nylon

8 plait nylon has become the ideal choice of nylon for most boaters these days. Compared to traditional 3 strand nylon it doesn’t offer much of a tensile strength difference but what is does offer is a multi-strand woven lay that allows the rope to lay down in the locker more compact. As a result, it allows you to store more in the locker. In addition, the 8 plait does not twist or hockle which allows the windlass to perform more efficiently. More importantly, the 8 plait design absorbs higher shock loads better when compared to 3 strand. Like our 3 strand, we have pre-manufactured lengths ready to ship and we offer the build your custom rode for the 8 plait as well. These rodes are available in a 1/2" and 5/8" rope diameter and hand spliced to either 1/4" or 5/16" chain depending on your requirements.
