Anchor Rode Safety Lanyards are designed to prevent the anchor from deploying if the Anchor is unintentionally released. In addition, it also takes the load off the windlass since most windlasses are not designed to hold the anchor to the boat when not in use. The lanyard attaches to the deck with a pad eye or eye bolt. The rode is secured by attaching the spring clip to the anchor shackle. The lanyards are available in a 12 inch and 18 inch in length. The dimensions of the lanyards are measured from bearing point of thimbles. The length does not include the spring clip, pad aye or spring clip. Fasteners for the pad eye are not included.
